Our roots in Thomasville run deep. Born and raised here, Thomas comes from a family that has called this community home for generations. After earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida, he completed an orthopedic residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport before returning home to found Big Oak Physical Therapy in 2015.

Thomas has been a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) since 2014 and, in 2026, also became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS). He is one of only 11 physical therapists in Georgia to hold both distinctions. He has worked with high-level athletes across the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, most recently serving as the team physio within the Thomas County Central High School athletic department. His additional training includes Dry Needling and Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, along with training through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Today, Thomas is returning his focus to patient care while developing The Lab, Big Oak’s Center for Innovation in Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation. The Lab is designed to serve as a clinical think tank—bringing advanced assessment, technology, rehabilitation, and performance together to rethink what physical therapy can look like for athletes and active patients.

Outside the clinic, Thomas and his wife are raising their two sons, Jackson and Brooks. He has a serious love of travel and leads Day 41, a men’s group focused on service, medical missions, and international outreach housed within Big Oak PT.

Wesley has a quiet strength that anchors our clinic. As our Clinic Director, he’s known for his drive, discipline, and deep care for the people he works with and the community he grew up in. Behind his tough exterior is someone who pushes his patients to recognize their potential and work toward becoming their best.

A lifelong athlete and rushing record holder at Brookwood School, Wesley now channels that same competitive spirit into the CrossFit community, where he trains and competes regularly.

Wesley is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS), a distinction held by only a small percentage of physical therapists nationwide. This advanced certification reflects his clinical expertise, commitment to continued growth, and dedication to providing the highest level of orthopedic care to the community he calls home.

Tylar’s path to Big Oak is a full-circle story. He first trained here as a student and quickly stood out for both his clinical skill and his positive, encouraging nature. After being directly recruited to join our team, he spent more than two years at Big Oak before moving away to gain more advanced training and experience in vestibular rehabilitation. He has since returned to Big Oak, bringing that expanded expertise back to our patients.

At his core, Tylar is an orthopedic physical therapist, but he also leads our Balance and Vestibular Programs, with advanced training and certification in vestibular rehabilitation. He is also trained in Dry Needling, allowing him to provide comprehensive care across a wide range of orthopedic, balance, dizziness, and vestibular conditions.

Tylar’s uplifting energy, steady presence, and commitment to his patients make him an important part of both our team and the patient experience at Big Oak.
